New Website

I am praying thanksgivings for each and every one of YOU who have followed Affirmations of God via email since April 2010 to today. If you are still interested in receiving future Affirmation of God blogs, please follow the link below and “Subscribe to blog via email” area in the right panel. Your current automatic emails will discontinue over the following days. All new blogs will come from AffirmationsOfGod.com.

Ever since I heard the words “Tom, every affirmation you will ever need is found in My Word.” I have prayed to be faithful. This road went from harvesting one affirmation to thousands and matured to writing this blog. You have all joined me and confirmed God’s message. When my faith was weak you helped strengthen me

My prayer is to continue God’s journey through http://www.AffirmationsOfGod.com. This self- hosted WordPress.org site is just a new step along God’s path I do believe.

I praise God for each person who has crossed this path, for a day or for five years I am amazed at God’s glory. I pray we will continue to travel this road together to spur each other to go and do from who God created us to be.

If you no longer wish to follow I totally understand but please know that God has used YOU to encourage me and I hope in return you have been encouraged. I am forever grateful.

In Christ’s love and strength,

Tom Raines, Jr.

About

Treasure seeker of affirmations and promises from the word of God

I have experienced the results of stating an affirmation and seeing the reality of becoming what we state with our mouth and believe with our hearts. Following the affirmations the world suggested I found myself broken and unfulfilled.

This page is operating on the belief that every affirmation we would ever need is in the Holy Scriptures. The Holy Spirit guides me as I search the scriptures and claim the beliefs, traits, and characteristics of who God calls us to be.

These affirmations have been harvested from scripture but are NOT scripture. I only seek God’s Holy Spirit’s guidance and ask Him to write these upon the tablets of our hearts.  I pray these affirmations touch the hearts of those God intends and that I will remain faithful to the call.

Thanks for dropping by!

Wow – I am so PROUD of you – I did not realize these were “yours” until today! I thought they were some sort of Facebook ap, so sorry, they are wonderful ! ! ! I’m gonna put you on our Family Blog and share you with our friends! I am really impressed, good work, Cousin! : )

    • tomraines says:

Thank you Kim. Well they are my story and God is revealing Himself through this I believe. These affirmations are certainly the LORD’s use of my life to hopefully assist others. I have done this for @ six months now and just pray to be faithful. I am still unclear as to what God is doing here but will tell you I pray others will feel the Holy Spirit the way God has used this process to fill my heart. He is so awesome and I have fallen in love with His word and I now know Him in a real and personal way. Please chime in at any time with comments or questions. I pray God’s will be done! Keep in touch Kim!

Nelson, thanks for dropping by if you really did. Since you profess to be a Deist I am thinking you probably just spammed me as when I read the definition of a “Deist” this is complete evidence of the warning on today’s scripture. We are not to lean on our own understanding and experientually I have found the belief that God does not get intimately involved in our lives to be inaccurate. Hope you will return some time and have a hope that God will touch your life in a real and personal way. He has in mine.

    • Nelson Rose says:

I did not spam you. Sorry you feel that I did – I am a real person. Deism is a belief in God based on Reason. I was a Christian for the first 32 years of my life. Then I spent over a year trying to rebuild my faith – I did that by reading the Bible from cover to cover 3 times (NIV, ESV, and KJV). I spent no less than 2 hours a day studying it. While I find it contains a lot of moral lessons, I also found a lot of violence, dogma, and injustice and I hold our Creator to a higher level than that of a personalized being that throws temper tantrums. If you read Joshua and Judges you have to expel your sense of reason and I don’t believe God granted us with such a gift with the intent for us to suspend it in any way. I won’t mention my thoughts on Saul/Paul.

I apologize if I offend you or anyone else with my beliefs or words. I do not mean to offend or influence anyone to believe the way I do. You do a great job on your blog though. Yes, this evil heretic finds your work to be inspiring.

      • Tom Raines says:

Actually I am glad you are a real person. Some of the spammer’s are creative as you know. Thanks for your background. I have experienced where you were and where you are. I am NOT offended by your beliefs or words. I respect where you are as I have been there. Although I never knew what a Deist was by your explanation I probably was one. Please keep coming back and keep seeking. The new covenant is one of love. If I have learned one thing it is how much I do not know but I am extremely confident that God is omniscient and way beyond my understanding. Keep seeking and praying and seek to know God and His Spirit. He will reveal to you His love. The Holy Spirit is as real as the screens before us and I am not afraid nor offended with those who are seeking. Seeking is the beginning finding is amazing. Nelson, keep coming back and I look forward to witnessing your journey as I have faith that God will reveal himself to you in ways beyond your understanding…as I know he has me and shaken and changed me. Thanks for coming back and don’t be a stranger.

  11. Camille says:

Hi Tom, my husband & I were in our quiet time and reflecting on the word “prosperity” and I found your blog! It fit into what I was feeling in my heart to the “T”
I shared it with my husband and after taking my notes, (I’m a note-taker) we read it together! We loved how you used “little” John in all of your points!
We came to Faith in Y’shua as Mashiyach in 1973 and have always cherished “Truth” ….I love Truth – the very love of my heart and my husband’s as well!
I had a similar experience a few years ago and asked the Master for a “word” and I received the word “Constant” both of these words are action words and when we live & move and have our being in HIM we experience “real” Life “real” Joy “real” peace and “real” prosperity!!!
May you be blessed beyond your expectations and stay confident in Him!!

    • Tom Raines says:

Praise the LORD Camille and thank you for sharing the “real” prosperity that only the LORD our God can provide. I am thankful for you visiting with me here and sharing from your heart. Thank you for blessing me with confirmation and may you be blessed with the constant filling of His Word and His love.

  13. Jennifer Oles says:

Tom did you ever think about getting published you are a great writer and I have fallen on hard times and your blog is helping me so much right now Thank you You have been blessed with such a great mind and spirit keep blogging God Bless Jennifer Olesjen

    • Tom Raines says:

Jennifer, thank you for your encouragement and kind words. Actually, I am praying that I will publish things… I feel it is time and I just need to get out the the way and allow the Holy Spirit to put His plan together. I have struggled for a while as to “how” when really I just need to make myself available to the LORD just like he has done with these blogs. Each has come immediately after a quiet time and what God has spoken to me through His Word. I do pray to allow Him to let any published piece flow from Him. I am praying now for you and your hard season and I praise our Father in Heaven for bringing His Word and affirmations to you at a time such as this. You too have blessed me at a perfect time to motivate me to get out of the way and get busy about His Work. It is interesting how He reveals His treasures in the darkness. In your hard times you are encouraging me and out of my hard times Affirmations of God was spoken and revealed to me for you. I know as you kneel each day and seek God and praise Him, your gift to the world will be revealed and realized. I am hopeful to hear from you again. Blessings as He teaches and provides for you.
