Affirmation of God: I can face anything because I fall face down before God.

Today’s Scripture:  And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell face down before the throne and worshiped God. Revelation 7:11 NLT Tyndale

As I harvest these affirmations from Revelation I realize that although I can not comprehend the apocalyptic writings of this book, I need to take no different position with this than with what I face today.

Really, did not my life change when I began to fall down face first before God? No different than the angels here in Revelation, no matter what we face we will face it best with our faces bowed down before the Almighty God.

The angels said, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and forever. Amen!”

Yes, I fall down on my face and echo their cries. Living here on my face I can face all things and be prepared for His Harvest. Do you ever fall face down before the throne of God?

Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth. I fall down before You just as Your angels. Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to You. I belong to You and trust in Jesus that You will provide me with the patient endurance and the faith to be prepared for Your harvest. Amen

Affirmation of God: God has placed me here.

Today’s Scripture: but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, Acts 10:40 ESV

God “made Jesus appear” before those He had chosen to be witnesses. He also called Peter through Cornelius “here” in these passages of Acts 10 to share what he had experienced in God. Someone is seeking your message from God too. Why has God made us appear where we are? What have we witnessed? God has placed us right here where we are.

Can we not also preach and testify what we have experienced in Jesus?  The Holy Spirit was poured out upon those witnesses here in Caesarea and He will also pour out on the people where we are. They spoke in unknown languages and praised God. People understood their new tongues and were amazed. You and I can also trust the Holy Spirit to provide the understanding.

What have you learned and experienced in the LORD that has amazed you? You are here to give what you have, will you?

Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for what You have allowed me to witness in Your Son Jesus and in Your Holy Spirit. I have witnessed Your majesty, Your love and Your grace. Lord use me as Your witness where I am today. Help me to testify of who You are. Thank You for placing me here. Amen

Affirmation of God: The Spirit of the LORD gives me rest.

Today’s Scripture: Like livestock that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name. Isaiah 63:14 ESV

I am so thankful for the rest I have found in the Spirit of the LORD.

Like Isaiah in 63:17 I often wonder why God made us so we could wander away from Him. Yet, ALWAYS when we exhaust all other searches for hope and rest He is faithful to save us and give us rest.

Exhausted and bloodied we often return to Him like His people in Israel and recognize His peace and His steadfast love. He never left us, we just wandered away. Wandered off chasing selfish desires or false promises this world offers.

When we pause to recall what God has done for His people of the scriptures we are made aware of His presence now. The same God, the same Spirit welcoming us now into His rest.

Remember or read the stories of old and you will find rest. Have you experienced the rest of the Spirit of the LORD?

Today’s Prayer: Mighty LORD, Mighty Savior thank You for picking me up and carrying me. Your Holy Spirit always welcomes me. Although I do not understand my tendencies to wander, I do know Your Spirit of love, rest and peace. Thank You LORD for giving me rest in You. Keep me in Your ways and help me to share this rest with others. Amen.

Affirmation of God: Jesus has opened a door for me that no one can shut.

Today’s Scripture: I know all things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can shut. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me. Revelation 3:8 NLT Tyndale

The door is already opened so what are we going to do?  I am taking the little strength I have and remembering what I have received and heard from God. I will conquer all things in Jesus’ power and not my strength.

I will keep Jesus’ word and claim His name with patient endurance. On my knees I have found and heard the One who conquers.  His word instructs me and His name reassures me of victory.

He is and has the key to open doors that cannot be shut? You know the door in which I speak. don’t you? You have heard the calling, trust the key holder and enter to complete your works in the sight of God.

Be awakened for you have all the power you need in Jesus’ word and name to go through the door. Give what you have and others will learn of how Jesus has loved you.

Today’s Prayer: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty- the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come. You are worthy, O Lord my God, Thank You for opening the door for me and I confess You are my strength. Thank You for giving me ears to hear Your Spirit. Use me, strengthen me and have others learn of your love through me. Amen

Affirmation of God: I am God’s pleasure.

Today’s Scripture: You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11 NKJ

How wonderful, how marvelous it is to know that the LORD loves me and created me for His pleasure. O how I want to live as God’s pleasure. The Spirit of God is amazing and makes Himself known to us.

Are you listening to the Spirit? Have you heard the Spirit? I have. Just this morning before the light of the LORD I was encouraged to capture this thought: I was created for the pleasure of God. I am God’s pleasure and so are you.

In the silence and honor of falling before His throne I am able to continually say holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, who is and who is to come and He loves me. He loves me and I am His pleasure.

Do you live as if you know you are the pleasure of God? Are you still long enough to hear what the Spirit says?

Today’s Prayer: Holy, holy, holy are You Lord God Almighty, who was, who is and is to come. I praise Your name and I hear Your Spirit. Help me to remember what I have received and heard. Thank You for the pleasure found in Your Spirit and for placing Your pleasure in me. Amen

Affirmation of God: I am equipped by Christ to do my part.

Today’s Scripture: from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. Ephesians 4:16 ESV

We already have what it takes. We are equipped to do our part for the one body. Although this world and our flesh tries to tell us we are some how insufficient, we are ready now. We have the love right now to build someone up.

Ephesians 4:28 promises we have something to share with anyone in need. Yes we are maturing into the fullness of Christ but wherever we are in our growth we have love to share.

Christ has already equipped us for our part, and when we work our part properly, the whole body of Christ will be built in love. We can tell the truth to our neighbors that we are all part of the one body; a body of love that needs each of us to be our part.

Will you be confident that Christ has already equipped you and gifted you to show His love today?

Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the gifts of Christ. Thank You for equipping me to do Your work of love in Your body. I find boldness in knowing it is You who has equipped me. I trust in Your Spirit to guide me and to provide the love I am to give to others. Amen

Affirmation of God: I am filled with the fullness of God.

Today’s Scripture: and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:19 ESV

Paul was attempting to explain this mystery to the Ephesians over two thousand years ago and this is mostly still a mystery today. Do we really grasp what being filled with the fullness of God is all about?

In Ephesians 3:9 we are reminded that God created ALL things. All includes you and me. Paul tells us that Jesus took us with Him to heavenly places in Ephesians 2:6. “and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” (ESV)

He did not say he will raise us but that He DID. Do we understand this mystery?  With God now; filled with His fullness now. We are alive in Christ and He is alive in us. The Spirit of God lives in us now.

Will you accept the fullness of God and the power and strength of the Spirit that is in you today?

Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being in me now. Help me to understand and grasp Your fullness. I believe Jesus has brought me into Your Heavenly places and I want to live Your fullness now. Guide me with Your Holy Spirit to fully know You and be used by You fully. Amen

Affirmation of God: God is with me now.

Today’s Scripture: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:23 ESV

And they shall call His name Immanuel, which means, GOD WITH US. Jesus came to teach us that God is with us and He came to live among us.

Joseph was being assured that Jesus was conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit.  What has the Holy Spirit conceived in you? Do you need some reassurance? God is with us now and if you believe the Holy Spirit has conceived something in you, go with it now even if you know not how.

Can we grasp the NOW-ness? Can we grasp God being with us? Being with God is not some future event. He is with us now. God is both out there and in here. His light shines upon us, in us and through us right NOW.

Just as Joseph trusted the message of the LORD we can too. We can proceed today knowing God is with us. What has been conceived in you?

Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for not only being my Heavenly Father but my Father who is with me now. Father thank You for sending Jesus to us so we could grasp His oneness with You and to teach us You are with us now. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who has conceived a vision in me and I pray to boldly go as He has instructed me. LORD, please teach me how to live in and from Your Holy Spirit. Amen

Affirmation of God: God works in me.

Today’s Scripture: for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 ESV

Do we really grasp how God is working in us now? In Philippians 2:6 in the ESV it states “who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,” and in the KJV it stated thought it not robbery to be equal with God:”

We may not grasp this concept but God is working in each of us. I am not sure we as a people or a church have grasped this since Jesus came to set the example for us.

Whether we grasp it or not, God works in us. We are called in this chapter to pour out what is working in us so others rejoice with us. More and more I meet people who have life experiences where God is surely working. Both the giver and the given are blessed when we pour out our experiences.

Are you pouring out what God is working in you?

Today’s Prayer: LORD God, help me to grasp Your presence in me. Your kingdom come Your will be done today here on earth as in Heaven now. LORD I want to live as You live in me today. I cannot grasp Your wonders in my mind but I can give away what You are giving me. Teach me how to pour You out so others too may rejoice in You. Amen
