Affirmation of God: The Spirit has set me free.

Today’s Scripture: For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2 ESV

In Romans 7-8 Paul is being real and reveals the freedom we find in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gives us life. As a Pharisee Paul was not free and realized that just keeping the law is not a source of life. Not one of us can be perfect by the law but in the Spirit of God we are perfected.

The Spirit gives us life and hope in Him. We can approach the Father in the confession of the weakness of our flesh and praise Him for giving us His Spirit. I find much comfort knowing that the Spirit groans to God even when I do not know what to say. (Romans 8:26)

Thank You Holy Spirit of setting me free. Guide my heart and my life to fulfill God’s will today.

Do you allow the Spirit to set you free?

Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Spirit. Thank You for setting me free. I give you my heart and mind LORD. I trust in the life You intend for me and trust in Your Spirit to guide me. Thank You for hearing the groans of the Spirit on my account and use me to the fullest. Amen
