Affirmation of God: I have the faith of God.

Today’s Scripture: Yeshua answered and he said to them, “May the faith of God be in you.” Mark 11:22(Aramaic Bible in Plain English 2010)

Interestingly, all versions of the English Holy scriptures I have seen for Mark 11:22 state that Jesus answered by saying “have faith in God”. This was responding to the disciple’s amazement that the fig tree Jesus spoke to the day before that had withered.

However, in reading the commentaries they say that the Hebrew more literally states Faith OF God. Our faith is shaky at times. We can have faith in God but that seems to rely on our ability to believe.

Having the faith OF God in us makes us have indelible faith. It is His faith that can move mountains into the sea and cannot be removed from us. LORD give us Your faith so we may fully have faith in You.

Can you ask God for His faith in you so your faith in Him is true?

Today’s Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for Your Faith. I am asking for Your faith and Your Spirit to fill me.  LORD, I have faith in You and know Your faith working through me is Your power and Your promise. Thank You LORD God for offering Your faith and Your son to me.  I believe Your faith is in me. Amen

    Reminds me of the time in Jesus’ life when the man said, “I believe. help my unbelief.” He was wanting God’s faith to fill the void in his. Good thought today Tom.

  2. Just this week I was standing in my kitchen and an overwhelming fear gripped my soul. To make a long story shorter, I remembered Horatio Stafford’s song, It is Well with my Soul. I prayed that prayer as I sang it in the kitchen. Not sure of how the circumstances surrounding me would turn I was able to regain peace within my soul. Through Christ in us we do have the faith of God residing in us. Thanks Tom.

    Great message, Tom! I loved “indelible faith.” Praying that prayer now and believing His faith is in me! God bless you and yours!

    A-men Tom! Romans teaches us that God gives to each of us a measure of faith. It comes from Him! May God increase our faith!

  5. This is beautiful, Tom!
    How powerful it is to make the distinction between faith IN God and faith OF God.
    Amen! May He continue to bless YOU with His faith!

    Humbled am I, Lord God, that Your own faith You give to me;
    I am but dust, yet You have set me apart for You for eternity.
    Fill me with Your divine faith, Father – fill me with belief unceasing;
    With joy and gratitude to You, Master, all things I am releasing!
