Affirmation of God: Give me Your wisdom LORD.

Today’s Scripture: But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 ESV

The wisdom from above can be trusted; my wisdom can not. The weakness and evil of our flesh proves itself. Can evil and good come out of one vessel? Yes. While we are spirit and flesh, God is Spirit and Truth. We must worship Him in Spirit and in truth and ask Him to overcome our flesh.

Reading in James 3 and Proverbs 30 today I can relate to the weariness and the hypocrisy of the flesh. It is clear we can ask and receive from God. So I am asking, are you?

LORD, please give me Your purity, Your peace, Your gentleness, Your reason, Your mercy, Your fruits, Your sincerity. Overcome me with You. Remove far from me…me.

Only God’s wisdom will help me understand. Where does your wisdom come from?

Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I confess my weakness and frailty to You and I am asking for Your wisdom from above as we are called in Your Word. I know that neither I nor this world is the wisdom I seek so I am asking You to rain down and fill me with Your wisdom. I desire Your wisdom and I need it. Thank You for promising to send it to me. I accept Your wisdom. Amen.

    Tom, thank you so much for this today! Just as I was praying for what to say to my son who has been given a “wait and see…” answer to a pray instead of the “yes” he was hoping for..we all were hoping for. He needs pure, peaceful, gentle wisdom from God to understand! I am praying for mercy and clarity for my son regarding God’s plan.
    Thank you, God, for showing up in my email using your servant Tom!

      Katy, I am astounded by God. I praise Him and thank Him for using each of us. I promise that your words to me are as encouraging as those words God gave me for you. LORD we praise you and I join Katy in praying for her son that You the author of wisdom rain down Your wisdom and patience on Katy’s son. May he cry out to You Father and wait patiently and see You in the waiting. We trust Your timing Father God. Amen….thank you Katy!

    Powerful affirmation, and I am grateful to join you in prayer!

    Lord, pour within me Your wisdom true, peaceable and pure;
    Your Word, Your Wondrous Wisdom, does eternally endure.
    Closer to You, more aligned with Your Will, may I ever be…
    Grant that my eyes are fixed upon You and upon Eternity!
